 Select individuals on my MSN list show as offline when they are online.
 Also, sometimes I cannot message them unless they message me, saying that
 the user does not exist.

 I fixed the problem temporarily by completely removing EVERYTHING that
 came with pidgin, down to ASPELL and the GTK.

 I re-installed and they appeared online again but as soon as they left and
 came back, it resumed to them being online and not showing online.
