 Configure script contains stupid check for preventing usage of system
 provided libgadu when compiled with OpenSSL.

 If detected, it makes a false claim that OpenSSL is incompatible with GPL,
 disregarding the fact that there are many systems exempted under section 3
 of GPL2 (like any *BSD or most commercial UNIXes).

 Also even in those systems that are not exempted, any infringement can
 only happen when trying to redistribute resulting binary, not during build
 or use which are outside the scope of GPL.
 You should not make this decision for the user.

 Either remove this check ([http://cvs.pld-linux.org/cgi-

 type=text%2Fplain patch]) or at least allow to disable it via configure
 args.
