 Pidgin seems to be creating weird groups that contain a duplicate contact
 from my other groups. The single-contact groups are named "?" (question
 mark) or "x
 rh×Ń" (gibberish - yes, with a linebreak). There are hundreds of these
 groups. I suspect there's one for each of my real contacts. There are also
 bigger weird groups (with same names) where more duplicates are created
 with each launch of Pidgin, resulting in dozens of duplicates for each
 contact. Deleting or mergin these groups makes them disappear for the
 instance, but next time I launch Pidgin, they're back and in greater
 numbers.

 This has started happening around the time I have upgraded to 2.7.11. I'm
 using Windows 7 32bit. I tried completely uninstalling Pidgin and deleting
 all its data, but after installing it again and entering my ICQ account
 details, the problem is back.
