#14099: Duplicate Buddy Authorization Requests in Pidgin After Using AIM Software

I primarily use Pidgin to chat with my AIM, MSN, and Gmail accounts.
However, after logging into my AIM account via AOL's iPhone app, I
constantly receive "Authorize buddy?" notifications in Pidgin for buddies
that are already on my buddy list.
For example, if I have an AIM buddy with the screenname of "john", I now
receive requests to add "john at aol.com". Essentially creating a duplicate
buddy.
In some cases it's creating invalid duplicates though. If the buddy's
screenname has "@mac.com" I'll receive an authorization request that reads
like, "john(mac.com)@aol.com wants to add you to his or her buddy list."
The correct buddy's name (which is already on my buddy list) would be
"john at mac.com".
If I 'Deny' the requests I'll just continue to receive notifications to
authorize them. It's trying to authorize the buddies under my Gmail (xmpp)
account.
