 Sorry, I missed the initial server information.

 I don't know anything about the OpenFire database layout unfortunately.

 The OpenFire logs (both normal logs, error logs, java exception logs,
 etc.) from when Miranda logs in correctly, Miranda fails to log in, and
 pidgin fails to log in are going to be what we need to see. Hopefully
 there will be some indication of what the server thinks is happening in
 there (specifically in the failure cases) which will indicate what the
 problem is.

 Judging from past experience I would expect to find some sort of expection
 being thrown in the failure cases.
