 I am using Pidgin on a laptop in Windows 7. I often connect an external
 monitor and expand the display onto it for work purposes. When I open
 Pidgin, whether the display is connected or not, it opens off screen,
 above the top of the display area on the first display (the laptop's
 built-in screen). The only way I've found to remedy it is to select the
 program on the taskbar, then press alt-space, giving me the menu allowing
 me to select "move". Then I have to hold the down arrow key for a while
 and Pidgin finally scrolls onto the display. It will continue to open
 where I put it until a reboot, then it is above the display area again.
 This happens whether I have the second display connected or not. The area
 it opens in is not visible on either display.

 I've found many people on forums reporting this, and there is an older
 closed (but not resolved) ticket reporting that this has happened for a
 long time now. Is there a fix?
