Hi,
I am behind '''password protected''' proxy. Because I am not able to logon
through official ICQ client even with correct connection settings, I was
looking for another client and found thisone. I downloaded it, tried to
install it and got an error about GTK+ Runtime can not be downloaded.
I have my proxy correctly set in the internet options, other applications
like Firefox are using it. It looks like the installer is taking from the
system setting just the IP address + port number, but not the information
if it is password protected, because it is not asking for a password when
trying to download that library.
So...I went to your website, checked the faq and found a link to offline
installer which should already contain the library. Funny is that the
installer is exactly the same as that without GTK+ and of course does not
contain it. So currently there is no way how to install Pidgin when behind
password protected proxy.
Could you please either fix your website, so the link will point to an
installer with GTK+ in it or fix the installer so it will ask for password
when the proxy is password protected?
PS the web address from the error message is also wrong.
Thanks, Dan
