 Issue still present in 2.10.0

 Changing my own buddy icon has no effect. Debug window does not show
 anything upon changing the icon for yahoo. If I change it for a GTalk, it
 shows the conversation with the server.

 Icons for buddies in my list are the same as they were weeks ago. I asked
 someone to change his icon, and the change does not show in Pidgin, but in
 the Yahoo client it does.
