 I am on 2.7.10 as well. And icons/picture of some MSN contacts simply
 aren't showing up, while others are. I typically find out that I'm missing
 a picture when it comes up in conversation, at which point I have to sign
 out of Pidgin and into the official MSN client.

 Please let me know what information I can provide.
