Comment:

 Closed as duplicate of #9372.[[BR]]The problem with this is that there are
 some XMPP servers which support passwordless-signon (Kerberos
 authentication via Cyrus SASL).  *That said*, yes, Pidgin doesn't
 currently handle this as well as it could.  Further discussion in the
 ticket I'm marking this as a dupe of.
