 #14573 has a reporter with the same issue.  I hadn't thought about this
 possibility before, but I'll ask the same question here.  Do your
 passwords contain "special" ASCII characters such as `&`, `<`, `>`, `%`,
 etc.?  (Simple yes or no only; if I need to know the specific character
 I'll ask in a follow-up)  If so, does changing your password to ''not''
 have the characters in question solve the problem?

 If the answer to both of those questions is yes, I have a rough idea of
 where the bug is within Pidgin, but I'm not yet sure what the fix would
 be.
