#15246: Cannot copy paste txt from Pidgin window to other applications

 First Steps:
 1) Start a conversation in Pidgin to a friend.
 2) Then try to copy a part or all the text your just messaged your friend

 Failure Steps:
 3) Open Notepad
 4) Paste  -  Nothing gets pasted.  Arrrrrr

 Success Steps #1:
 3) Open Visual Studio
 4) Open HTML page in Visual Studio
 5) Paste - Text comes across with <font> tags around it.  Arrrr

 Success Steps #2:
 3) Open MS Word
 4) Paste - Text appears


 After reading other post, it appears that pidgin copies text as HTML.  Not
 everything can accept HTML as paste.  Can we get an option to just copy
 text as text and NOT as HTML please?
