 Seems like a temporary glitch in the server side: within 36-48 hours of
 the switch to Outlook.com, everything comes back to normal. Observed both
 in my case, and in the computer of a friend that also uses Pidgin to chat
 in the MSN network.

 To QuLogic: Please close the ticket if you judge it doesn't deserve more
 attention.
