 I'm experiencing the same situation, same messages "Lost connection with
 server: Connection reset by peer" etc. I've tried the variants of settings
 proposed in this thread without success. Pidgin connects to Google Talk,
 but then disconnects and reconnects every 5-10 mins after a ping with
 exactly the same messages in the Developer window as above.
