 System information: I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 with Unity.

 Preconditions: Pidgin is added to tray whitelist, 'Show system tray icon'
 property in Preferences is set to 'Always'.

 Steps to reproduce:
 1. Verify that Pidgin icon is present in the system tray.
 2. Switch to a full-screen application (in my case, those were full-screen
 application running under Wine, or SMPlayer).
 3. Switch (via Alt-Tab) back to any other non-full-screen-application.

 Expected result: Pidgin icon is present is tray.

 Actual result: Pidgin icon is absent and appears again only if 'Show
 system tray icon' is set to 'Never', and then back to 'Always'.

 I tried to collect debug output, but the application crashed with active
 debug window on attempt to set 'Show system tray icon' to 'Always'.
