 I feel like you would need to add a conditional to a bunch of different
 places in the XMPP code (anywhere you receive changes to buddy list groups
 and anywhere you make changes to buddy list groups).  It seems like a
 feature that would be prone to breaking.  See "Simpler is Better" for some
