Comment:

 The plugin seems to proxy traffic through imo.im.  This doesn't seem like
 something imo.im would be happy about.  In fact, it seems like it would
 violate their terms of use.

 It also doesn't seem like imo.im has a public API for proxying traffic
 through their servers.  This means they can change the API in backwards
 incompatible ways.  I think this is an inevitability--it WILL happen, and
 it WILL create more work for us (at the least we'll have to issue a new
 release with an updated plugin, but also someone will have to do the work
 to fix the plugin).

 The core Pidgin developers have a difficult time maintaining the plugins
 we have.  We've very constrained on time.  I don't think adding another
 plugin--especially one that seems like it will require ongoing maintenance
 --is a good idea.  Users are better off obtaining the plugin from an
 independent source that can iterate quickly and release updates on their
 own schedule.

 Also the fact that the plugin's website is entirely in German doesn't bode
 well for easy communication between the core Pidgin developers and the
 plugin's author(s).

 It's not clear to me what advantages this plugin offers over
 http://eion.robbmob.com/
