 Strawberry Perl 5.10.1.5 does in fact work. I was previously unaware of
 the existence of this branch of perl, but happily it Just Worked after
 installing and restarting Pidgin.

 This should probably be mentioned in the FAQ instead since ActivePerl
 isn't an option anymore?
