#14857: Internet detection fails on two network adapters

 In home I use wifi, in work I use LAN, between moving I go offline in
 Pidgin and sleep my computer. When I want going online again, it just
 shows forever the message there is no internet connection and I have to
 restart the Pidgin. I think the built-in internet connection detection and
 this behaviour when Pidgin/libpurple thinks I will use allways the same
 network adapter is tedious. If this can't be done properly, why not to let
 it to the operating system and just periodically try connect to IM
 servers? I use Windows XP 32bit. This defect has been in all versions I
 remember.
