Comment:

 We release every version's full source in tar.gz and tar.bz2 files.  You
 can get the source from the web site (http://pidgin.im/download/source/).
 We do not release development snapshots of Pidgin, in source or otherwise.
 If you would like to work with development code, you'll need to check it
 out using Mercurial.  Using hg is very much like git if all you want to do
 is clone the master branch.
