 Pidgin 2.10.1 worked flawlessly with my MSN (@hotmail.com) account. Today,
 I "upgraded" the account to the new @outlook.com domain, After doing that
 and editing the account info in Pidgin to reflect the change, Pidgin is
 able to connect to the messaging server without problem, but all my
 contacts are shown as offline, they see me as offline, and I can't send or
 receive messages. After updating to Pidgin 2.10.6, the latest version, the
 problem persists.

 OS: Windows 7 64-bit

 Pidgin version: 2.10.6 (reproducible also with 2.10.1, possibly with other
 versions)
