 I am using pidgin in windows 7 machine. I could not type tamil characters
 into it.
 I use input called ekalappai from here:
 http://code.google.com/p/ekalappai/downloads/list  (its also an opensource
 project)

 I am able to type in all other windows applications except in pidgin. I
 also could use the same input tool to type in tamil in other GTK
 applications like Dia.

 Interestingly I am able to read tamil messages sent by others. Also I am
 copy paste tamil text from notepad and send to my friends.
 I could not type tamil directly thats the issue I face.

 If pidgin developers can resolve this issue, it would help lot of people
 like me who use tamil in our daily messages.
