 One of my MSN contacts always appears offline, even when I know they are
 online (confirmed by any other chat client). I am only aware of this
 problem for one of my contacts, i.e. my other MSN contacts show up online
 as expected.

 I scanned through the debug output and didn't see anything (although I
 don't know what to look for). The only thing different was the problem
 contact has passport type 32

 vs type 1 passports for everyone else
