 It would be nice if Pidgin considered a reasonable time interval between a
 received message and allowing the conversation to be closed or cleared.
 Sometimes you close or clear a conversation right when you receive a
 message, or right when typing notification starts.

 I think one second would be enough, and only directed chat messages should
 be considered. I'm not sure how Pidgin would implement this feature
 exactly, though. Maybe deny the action silently, or ask for a confirmation
 like "you just received a message right now, are you sure you want to
 clear|close?", not sure but that's the idea.
