 Thanks for the implementation Renato. I am using IRC away at work, and I
 have issues whenever I try to change my nick to -away while having SIPE
 (Office communicator plugin) active, Pidgin either crashes or says I'm
 trying to change to an invalid nick. If I deactivate the communicator
 account, the plugin works just fine.
