 bleeter: From your comment it almost sounds like you're suggesting that
 people not use OTR at all.  Just to be clear, people's conversations are
 still WAY more private when using OTR than without it.

 I really don't want people to get the wrong idea about this issue.
 People's conversations are still quite safe--this issue just means that if
 someone is able to gain access to your local user account then it is
 easier for them to see your conversations.  (Of course, if someone has
 access to your local user account then you're basically screwed anyway.)
