 I would like to re-open this artifact, simply based on the fact that it
 was opened 4 years and closed 3 years ago. I am very much in support of
 this feature request. My screen is regularily filled with more tabs than
 fit on it (Full HD screen) and scrolling sucks. I could split the chats
 into two windows, but thats a) cumbersome to check for new messages and b)
 my task-bar real estate is even more precious than my pidgin chat real
 estate.

 Multiple rows of tabs would be awesome, just like Firefox can do it.
 Please let's revisit this request, maybe GTK/pidgin have improved and
 support such a thing now.
