Comment:

 Hey so we think this is something done by the official AIM client.  We
 think that, if your foreground color is too similar to your background
 color, then they alter the color(s) so that they're more readable.  If
 this is what's happening then we don't think there is much we can do about
 it.

 If you suspect this problem is something else, or if you think there's a
 way we can work around it, please let us know.
