 Every window, at a minimum, should have a minimize button, in addition to
 the close button.  Unless it's an emergency/"you must do this before you
 do anything else" situation (which is way overused), getting a window off
 your desktop is just common functionality.  I have many email accounts
 (some of the multiple from the same service) and can't attend to all of
 them at once but closing the window takes them off my docket and there's
 no way to repoll email notifications.  I would wonder why it seems there
 was extra effort to *not* include it.
