Comment:

 Authentication failure usually means your password is incorrect. Please
 verify your password is entered correctly.

 If you are absolutely certain that your password is entered correctly,
 then you will need to set the PURPLE_UNSAFE_DEBUG environment variable,
 re-open Pidgin, and obtain a new debug log.
