 This is a big, ugly bug that happens to me so often in Precise, I had to
 stop using Pidgin.

 It is worth noting that this only happens when using the libnotify plugin
 (which allows pidgin to interact meaningfully with the messaging indicator
 in Unity).  With this plugin turned off, this bug does not occur.

 Is anyone looking at this?
