 The only support available is through bug tickets like this one and the
 support mailing list, I'm not sure where you stumbled on Megan and Dennis'
 names.

 Please reply using the "Comment" field instead of modifying the
 description.

 I think the issue is that at one point those users were added to your list
 with slightly different JIDs (usernames) than what they are now.  This
 probably happened transparently to the end user via a server level change.

 You can confirm that is the issue by right clicking on the duplicate users
 and clicking "Get Info", I think you'll find that the username is
 different between the user who appears online and the one who only shows
 up when you show offline users.

 You can get rid of the duplicate users by deleting your
 `~/.purple/blist.xml` file.
 The location of your `~/.purple` directory varies according to your OS,
 and is covered in the [wiki:FAQ].
 You should make a copy of the file before deleting it.
