 It's not possible to write a slash (/) at the beginning of a line
 in XMPP single chat.

 Typing {{{/o\}}} yields {{{Unknown command.}}}.
 In an attempt to escape the {{{/}}}, sending {{{//o\}}} succeeds but the
 text is {{{//o\}}}.

 I would have expected pidgin to send {{{/o\}}}.
