 In the previous version of Pidgin, I was able to embed a hyperlink within
 message text. The method for doing that was to highlight the text I wanted
 to contain the link, then hit the "Insert" button and choose "Link" and
 enter the url. At that point, there was an option to edit the text which
 would contain the link (this was prefilled if I had selected text within
 the message first).

 This functionality has disappeared, so that now when I hit the "Insert"
 button and choose "Link" I can enter the url but there is no text
 associated with it (that part of the message box is now missing). The
 result is that linking is gone completely, and I now the url appears
 directly in the message text. I cannot find any setting or preference or
 plugin that would restore this functionality.
