 Sure.  It's actually somewhat of a PITA :)
 The setup described [https://github.com/dieterv/legacynativebuilds here]
 is how the various win32 binaries distributed by the GTK folks are built -
 after jumping through a bunch of hoops to get that set up, it's relatively
 easy to set up a script to compile other things like this with it.
