 I can confirm this still happens in 2.10.6.
 I can also confirm it happens with "@hotmail.com" accounts.

 Also, possibly related, possibly not, if I use the
 accounts->$THIS_ACCOUNT->Open Hotmail Inbox button, it takes me to a page
 saying it can't log me in. *But* if I then enter my credentials on this
 page, I end up at a "microsoft account" page
 (https://account.live.com/summarypage.aspx?page=default.srf&id=10&vv=1350&mkt
 =EN-US&lc=1033) where I can change things like name, dob etc, and *not* in
 my inbox.
 If I type in www.hotmail.com I will then automatically be logged into my
 inbox (http://by154w.bay154.mail.live.com/default.aspx).
