Comment:

 Closed as duplicate of #8581.[[BR]]Pidgin by design does not support
 sending mass messages due to the likelihood for abuse.

 There is at least one plugin referenced on the [wiki:ThirdPartyPlugins]
 page that allows some sort of mass messaging.  Alternatively, your XMPP
 server may support sending announcements to all users via an Adhoc command
 (available from the Accounts->Your XMPP Account menu).
