 I just installed Wheezy (Debian)
 Release 7.1 32-bit. Kernel Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae. GNOME 3.4.2
 Installed Pidgin 2.10.6-3 from apt repository.
 After I entered my yahoo account Pidgin hanged while loading contacts.
 Then I downloaded Pidgin 2.10.7 from your web, compiled and installed,
 launched.
 Same thing happened with 2.10.7: hanged at startup while loading contacts.
 Deleted prefs.xml, launched again, same behavior. Deleted .purple folder
 reinstalled 2.10.7, re-entered my yahoo account, on connect: same
 behavior.
 I launched pidgin using -d flag. Did noticed some error messages but I
 don't think they are related with this hang. I also saw some repeated
 connections to a yahoo site. I attach this file here.
 I am behind a proxy server (but no user/password are used to
 authenticate).
