Comment:

 There's a `GroupMsg` plugin in the purple plugin pack
 ([wiki:ThirdPartyPlugins]) - we don't provide support or maintain any of
 those plugins though.

 This type of thing is better addressed via an email to support at pidgin.im
 rather than a defect ticket.
