 Hi, I have the same problem more or less. I wrote a program that bulk-adds
 images to  Custom Smileys (editing the smileys.xml and copying images to
 custom_smiley dir). It all works ok, except that Pidgin rearranges the
 whole list, and consequently the display order. It's annoying when you
 have a lot of emoticons to find the one you want when they are not sorted.
 I use Pidgin 2.10.7 on windows 7.
 I attach the xml files before and after reorder.
