 If a ticket is closed automatically, we set it to a "pending" status,
 which means that we're expecting some form of response from the original
 ticket reporter.  If that doesn't happen within 14 days, the ticket is
 closed and we assume that the reporter has abandoned the ticket.  I
 suppose you're free to think it's stupid, but it's our policy and it works
 for us.  It ''is'' our ticketing system, after all.
