 This problem can be "solved" by defining an user environment variable
 named {{{HOME}}} with the value {{{%APPDATA%}}}. Thus, the {{{.recently-
 used.xbel}}} file created by GTK (as the {{{.gimp-2.8}}} and
 {{{.thumbnails}}} directories created by GIMP) will be placed in
 {{{C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming}}} instead of
 {{{C:\Users\<username>}}}.
