 I checked out the code from 2013-07-23, changeset 34265:e6de87604147.
 It builds out of the box in Linux, but in Windows I had to make some
 changes. See pidgin-20130723.patch.
 Even then, the final build can't find GTK, same error as in
 ticket:14678#comment:11
