 I believe I'm experiencing this problem currently, as I've been unable to
 connect to known/good IRC SSL servers. ( However; I have no access to
 server admin, so I cannot confirm that *this* issue is the cause )

 In any case, I request that this ticket get the milestone 2.10.8 -- and
 hope to see that version released soon! :)
