 Ticket #288 requested "leveraging the OpenPGP / GnuPG Web of Trust".  It
 was closed because of the Pidgin-GPG plugin.

 This is well and good, but the real deal would be using our OpenPGP key in
 _OTR_.  That would link OTR to the Web of Trust, and if there's a trust
 path, it would save us going out of band to confirm a correspondent's key.
