Comment:

 I've Windows XP SP3 (x86) but my colleague has Windows 7 (x64).
 Both OS are up to date.

 In my configuration the settings are:
 Idle: Depending on keyboard/mouse usage, 3 minutes until away, set status
 to "Körperlich/Gestig abwesend" (this is my own state depending on
 "Away").
 Away: Automatic answer if away and idle
 Status on start: Restore status on restart

 In the configuration of my colleague (seen on the screenshot) are the
 default settings:
 Idle: Depending on keyboard/mouse usage, 5 minutes until away, set status
 to Away.
 Away: Automatic answer if away and idle
 Status on start: Restore status on restart

 I will try to reproduce the behaviour and let the debug console meanwhile
 open. Maybe something useful will be reported there.
