--------------------------------------+-------------------------
Reporter: kiilerix | Owner: darkrain42
Type: defect | Status: new
Milestone: | Component: libpurple
Version: 2.5.1 | Resolution:
Keywords: certificate verification |

Comment (by ElderDelp):
I can confirm that the information is limited. For some reason this
dialog just started showing up. I have been using pidgin since 2009 on
this machine or a machine like it with the same profile. Our group
recently switched to Microsoft Messanger and took down our local server,
but I still run to connect to googleTalk. Around that switch time, I
started seeing the:
SSL Certificate Verification
Accept certificate for gmail.com?
The root certificate this one claims to be issued by is unknown to Pidgin.
and the Certificate information is:
Common name: gmail.com
Fingerprint(SHA1):
96:d7:17:4a:aa:71:6e:85:3f:57:b0:ce:3c:40:64:67:55:f4:7b:1f
Activation date: Wed Jun 04 03:42:25 2014
Expiration Date: Mon Sep 01 19:00:00 2014
The Help-> debug output is:
pending. I will add it when I can get the ticket negotiation dialog to
come up again.
