 Spectrum is not supposed to change connection flags, but to check it and
 strip HTML from the message if necessary. As you pointed out, spectrum do
 not deal with it at all, just like a Finch. But the latter gets plaintext
 at input --- Spectrum may get formatted message (and does nothing with
 it).
