Old description:

New description:

 Apparently the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 uses larger icons for
 'legacy' applications pinned to the start screen, if those are available.
 From mspaint calculations, the size was raised from 48x48px to 64x64px.
 I have exported a 256x256 icon and built it into pidgin.exe, but it was
 scaled down to 64 pixels wide. Examples of software with larger icons that
 display full-size are Wireshark and Visual Studio 2012.
 So the request: please add higher resolution icons.
