 Weird bug appeared in pidgin for me and a few of my colleagues: pidgin is
 unable to send a message containing words 'stop' or 'стоп' (which also
 stands for 'stop' in Russian) via ICQ.

 Other ICQ clients do transmit such messages.

 First time this problem was encountered today.

 Bug was reproduced with various versions of pidgin ranging from 2.10.0 to
 2.10.5 on Ubuntu 14.04 and some versions of Fedora with all plugins
 switched off.
